Health Benefits of Raspberries

Berries are my favorite fruit. Why? Because they have antioxidants and fiber. Did you know there are two types on fiber called soluble and insoluble fiber? 🍎Soluble fiber can be found in foods such as berries, oats, beans, lentils, flax seed, psyllium husk, apples and pears. 🍐Soluble fiber forms a gel like consistency in your stomach causing you to feel full and limit blood sugar spikes. Insoluble fiber comes from foods such as whole wheat products, wheat bran and vegetables. Insoluble fiber bulks up your food and helps cultivate a healthy gut microbiome. Insoluble fiber may also help lower cholesterol levels by binding to fat and moving it out of the body. 🍓Also if you have difficulty using the bathroom it can help with that too! It’s important to get both of these fiber types in your diet daily so eat up everyone!🍞🥦🍒
